Python Job: Middle Pro-Senior Python Developer

Softjourn is looking for a Middle Pro/Senior Python Backend Developer!

About the project:

Working with the Transaction engine. This would be a New project within a big FinTech account. The main goal is to create new scripts to implement an API, consume and create data files, and patch existing data. The codebase is Python with MySQL.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in Python development. Using PEP8 standards of coding;
• Writing unit tests regularly;
• Experience with Azure Services;
• Experience with OOP, SOLID, REST API;
• Knowledge of Bitbucket;
• Experience with MySQL;
• Familiar with Scrum methodology, how to work within such a team;
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins);
• Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher.

Will be a plus:

• Team Leading experience;
• Fintech experience;
• Experience with Kubernetes;
• Experience in cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Be proactive during ceremonies;
• Design new code architecture based on best practices;
• Creating the support documentation for the implemented solution;
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications;
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues;
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization;
• Writing unit test;
• Help improve all the products the team works on by participating in Agile team meetings;
• Working with Jira and Confluence.
